TOMMY BUDD’S WINDY CITY : A unique and “all the way – live!” collective musical effort coordinated by the versatile, flamboyant and widely recognized drummer extraordinaire and lead singer/entertainer Tommy Budd, whos 43 year span of music showcases have lead him coast to coast performing with some of the greatest musicians he has come to know as his friends and mentors . From Chicago to New York to Austin to Los Angeles and all points between he has been in the company of players such as The Buddy Lambert Trio, David Peel and The Lower East Side Band, Lance Loud(The Mumps), David Johansen(New York Dolls), Seymour Duncan (Duncan Pickups), Buddy Wittington(John Mayall’s Blues Breakers), Michael Zeal(Etta James) , Buddy Miles and The Buddy Miles Express,which includes original guitarist Marlo Henderson and bassist Hiram Hazley,Chicago’s own Maxwell Blues Band, The Texas Blues Kings, The Blue DeVilles, Blues Heroes, Blue Dawg, plus many other solo instrumentalists which he has showcased every conceivable genre of music. Tommy Budd has also been entertaining audiences in and out of San Diego County area that he has call his second home for several  years. Music  mostly as his life’s work over 43 years he’s proclaimed as “It’s a Wonderful Life”, now with WINDY CITY over 12 years has a special sound built formost by Tommy’s blues, jazz and rock roots that were originally developed from a hard life on the southside of Chicago, Illinois’.  Hard driving funky soulful vocals with a solid, thunderous bass drum backbeat , including fast solo chops to his stick work  sometimes quicker than the eye are a hallmark from this legendary player who leads this pack of hard working classic rock, rhythm and electric blues, funk and soul instrumentalists into anyone’s event or venue – big or small.

A four piece group that doubles in sounds like a bigger band of 8 , members Tommy includes are the full magical synth  piano and organ sounds  of Michael Hill, Jimmy Lewin’s electrifying  lead guitar strings and vocals,and finally the big sound of bass and vocals from Dean Van Buren.
